The Dickens Tavern And Opera House
Welcome to The Dickens Tavern And Opera House of Longmont, CO. Housed in the downstairs is The Dickens Tavern while housed in the upstairs is The Dickens Opera House. Originally built in 1881 by William Henry Dickens—a relative of the famous author Charles Dickens, William Henry came to the area in 1860 as a young man, the son of Mary Allen. When he built the opera house, he was one of the largest land owners of the time. The parcel that the building sits on was given to his father by former president Ulysses S. Grant.
Here we support local music and up-and-coming bands from the front range. Featuring nationally touring acts such as Tab Benoit, Tony Furtado, Trombone Shorty, The Infamous Stringdusters, and The Reverend Horton Heat, come and join us in a day of live music, shows, and entertainment!
